The 2008 GM Performance Parts Show Car Series

The GM Performance Parts Show Car Series is the only indoor custom car series of its kind. Millions of dollars worth of one-of-a-kind custom cars, trucks, motorcycles, hot rods, race vehicles, antique cars and other vehicles, will be exhibited for motor enthusiasts across North America. This year's series is expected to attract a total of more than two million attendees.

The series features International Show Car Association sanctioned competition points for show car exhibitors in seven categories, including Truck/Van, Competition, Rod, Custom, Bike, Antique/Restored and Street Machine. Contestants vie for part of a total series purse of $85,000.

The GM Performance Parts Line is one of the automotive industry's most extensive, offering high-performance parts designed specifically for General Motors vehicles. Included are more than 1,000 high-performance components – everything from complete and partial engine assemblies to bare blocks and cylinder heads, from camshafts to crankshafts, from intake manifolds to chrome accessories, and much more. GM Performance Parts are applicable to more vehicles on the road than any other high-performance parts line.

Among the many attractions at GM Performance Show Car Series shows are appearances by celebrities appealing to people of all ages and interests. These include race car drivers like Sterling Marlin and Rusty Wallace "Farewell Tour," WWE's Steve Austin, the Undertaker, Bill Goldberg and NHRA's John and Ashley Force.

Series shows also offer activities for all ages/interests, such as junior dragster competitions, product/technique demonstrations, BMX free-style demonstrations, fashion shows, collector car auctions, antique toy shows, auto sound challenges, and exhibits of automotive art and memorabilia. Model Car Regionals feature 200 scale model cars from 3½ inches to 2 feet in length.
